Product performance
The molecular formula is La2O3, molecular weight 325.84, white amorphous powder, density 6.51 g/cm3, melting point 2217 ℃, boiling point 4200 ℃. It is soluble in water and is soluble in acids and produces corresponding salts. The exposed air absorbs carbon dioxide and water and gradually becomes lanthanum carbonate. The burning of lanthanum and water gives off a lot of heat.
